Owners
Jeff and Lynne Urquhart are no strangers to the horse
world. Both Lynne and Jeff have owned and cared for horses for the past
forty
years. The Urquharts are members of National Horse Clubs, local
organizations,
and the NH Farm Bureau. Lynne
is a graduate
of Meredith Manner School of Horsemanship and has continued in this
field for
many years. Jeff is
a graduate of Fisher College
and holds a degree in both Computer Science and Business
Administration. The
farm prides itself in being educated, honest and reliable in all
aspects of
equine and Farm management.
Lynne
has been an accomplished equestrian and instructor for
many years and has shown Tennessee Walkers to many Hi-Point titles. Jeff also has shown in the
past to a top ten
in the nation with one of their Appaloosa mares.
Lynne and Jeff both enjoy trail riding with
their boarders; the trail system is just minutes away in the
mountainside of
Iron Brook Farm.
Iron
Brook Farm is located at 415 Wentworth Road
in Brookfield,
NH, (Route 109)
just three miles away from Wentworth
State Park
and the beautiful waters of Lake Wentworth.
We are a neighboring
town to the Oldest Summer
Resort in America,
Wolfeboro, NH, and a forty-five
minute drive to scenic Portsmouth, NH. Iron Brook Farm offers
something for everyone,
no matter what your skill level or age. Lynne has the ability to teach
from the
very beginner to the advanced rider in many disciplines. We are very proud of our
clients that range in
ages from 5 years to 70+ years. Many
of our
clients become good friends. We
offer a
family orientated environment and have clients that return every year
from all
of the New England states and as far away as Texas.
Iron Brook Farm offers lessons in Hunt Seat,
Saddle Seat and Western.
We
have a variety of horses on the farm.
We have Tennessee Walkers, Appaloosas, Paints
and Quarter Horses, an Arabian, as well as a very fun champagne
colored large pony. We
enjoy bringing
students to local shows and events and have also hosted 4H judging at
the
farm.
Iron
Brook Farm takes exceptional care of each horse on the
farm. All horses,
whether they are owned
by the farm or boarders, are treated with kindness, respect and the
best
quality care. The farm is very fortunate to have great veterinary
service,
blacksmithing service, and quality hay and grain that keep everyone in
top
shape and condition. Many
people comment
on the attention all animals on the farm receive.
Not
only does the farm have horses, but you may also see
many other types of farm animals, such as cows, calves, sheep, pigs and
chickens. Take the
time to glance at our
photos and enjoy the countryside at Iron Brook Farm.
